Hosted by our French partner Solidarités Jeunesses, this volunteer project is focused on the organisation of a small music festival.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING ON THIS PROJECT?

This Free Music Festival in Montendre, France, was first ran in 2001. This small festival aims to celebrate local contemporary music whilst bringing together the local community.

Your first task will be setting up for the festival. This will include putting up tents, preparing food & decorating. During the festival alongside enjoying music by local artists, you will be welcoming and helping the public as well as organising various events. After the festival has finished, you will taking down tents, cleaning and tidying.

WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?

You will be staying in La Maison des Bateleurs, a home owned by Solidarités Jeunesses. Yourself and the other volunteers will be sleeping in shared dorm rooms. Volunteers will take it in turn to prepare meals.

WHAT ABOUT LEISURE TIME?

You will have the opportunity to take part in loads of music events, visit night markets & farmers markets. Visits to nearby cities Bordeaux and Angoulême as well as beach days can be organised. Cognac and St Emilion, two cities famous for their wine, are also close by.
