Hosted by our German partner Vereinigung Junger Freiwilliger (VJF), you will be helping them prepare their youth centre for their summer events.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING ON THIS PROJECT?

The VJF (Union of Young Volunteers) was founded in March 1990 and is an officially recognised non-profit association which organises youth programmes, with the aim to spread the word about the IVS movement.
Every year VJF organise around 30-35 international volunteer projects in Germany, as well as host various workshops and seminars. As a result, their accommodation and other areas need to be prepared for summer events, and so this what you will be doing on project. Tasks will include cleaning and maintaining both indoor and outdoor areas.

WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?

You will live and learn in the Projekt- und Begegnungsstaette. It is situated in a forest on the banks of the lake Langer See in Berlin.

You will be staying at the centre in heated bungalows which have bathrooms. All bed linen will be provided. There is no washing machine and limited internet access. You will have the chance to prepare your own meals in a small kitchen, so feel free to bring your own recipes!

WHAT ABOUT LEISURE TIME?

Free time activities will be organised by yourself and other volunteers. You can use the facilities at the centre to do a range of acitivites. You will also be able to enjoy the sights and culture of Berlin as the city is so close-by.
