Hosted by our German partner Vereinigung Junger Freiwilliger (VJF), this project combines nature and art to educate on the local environment.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING ON THIS PROJECT?

This volunteer project combines outdoor activities with artistic workshops, all inspired by water. You will go variety of guided tours, one of which will be a paddle tour of the River Warnow. On these tours, you will learn about the local plant and wildlife, as well as the impact of water pollution.
Under the guidance of a professional artist, you will be taking part in a number of workshops. These will cover music, screen-printing and theatre. The work you produce during these workshops will be displayed to the local community at the end of the project.

WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?

You'll be sleeping on the floor of a gym in Bruel. In the same building is a huge living room, kitchen, showers and a garden.

WHAT ABOUT LEISURE TIME?

You will be volunteering for 5 hours a day, Monday-Friday. During the evenings and weekends, you are free to explore the local area. You can get to Hamburg by train in just over 2 hours.
