Hosted by our Spanish partner SVI, this project is focused on environmental conservation at Sot de Chera Natural Park.

                                                                                     

WHAT WILL I BE DOING ON THIS PROJECT? 

You will be taking part in a dry stone workshop, creating nest boxes for nocturnal raptors as well as creating for places for wild fauna to relax and sleep. Volunteers will be split into four small groups - each group will take turn doing different tasks. 

WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?

You will be staying in the small town of Chera, located in the region of Requena-Utiel, in the province of Valencia. Chera ia located inside a tectonic pit and surrounded by steep peaks.

You will be staying in a youth centre in shared rooms. You will also have your meals here - these will be prepared by staff who work on site. 

WHAT ABOUT LEISURE TIME? 

You will be volunteering Monday - Friday for around 4-5 hours every morning. 

You will be taken on excursions throughout the local area, as well as take part in workshops, training and other leisure activities. 

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS? 

  • You must be 18+ to take part in this project
