Hosted by NICE, this volunteer project focuses on helping and working with the Elderly in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING ON THIS PROJECT?

Bernice Home where this project is based was found by a woman of the same name in 2000. She started this home for senior citizens who need care due to both physical and mental health problems. The founder believes that “life shouldn’t end when you are old, it should be full of happy memories regardless of age." She is passionate about wanting to keep those who live in her Home comfortable, active and engaged through physical and social activities.
You and the other volunteers will help in arranging extra activities for the occupants of Bernice Home, such as art and crafts, gardening, storytelling and music. You will also help the paid carers to cook and clean.

WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?

All volunteers will stay in Bernice Home where three meals will be provided daily.

WHAT ABOUT LEISURE TIME?

During your free time, you will have the chance to explore Kuala Lumpur.
