Hosted by our German partner ijdg, this volunteer project is focused on exploring your own creativity within an international environment.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING ON THIS PROJECT?

Organised by the artist community Ponderosa, you will be helping to transform an old cement factory into a new artistic space.

On weekdays, you will spend the mornings taking part in dance workshops, and in the afternoons, you will be physically transforming the space. This could include painting, creating information signs for visitors, helping local architects and set designers with basic construction work, as well as gardening.

No previous dance experience is needed.

WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?

You will be staying 9 km outside of Berlin in Stople. You will be sleeping in shared rooms in a newly renovated part of the cement factory. You and the other international volunteers will share the cooking.

WHAT ABOUT LEISURE TIME?

You will be volunteering and taking part in workshops on weekdays, and have your evenings and weekends free.

There are bicycles you are free to use - you can cycle through the landscape of the  Oder Valley nature reserve. You can also travel to Berlin, and even Poland as Stople is close to the Polish border.

ARE THERE ANY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS?

  • You must be 16+ to take part in this project
  • There is an additional fee of 150 EUROS which is paid to ijgd on arrival to the project
