It goes without saying that 2020 has been a year like no other. The farming industry especially has faced challenges of flooding, drought, early frosts, on top of the difficulties of getting seasonal workers onto UK farms due to COVID-19, and the uncertainly of Brexit and the changes it will bring.

At Concordia we have done our utmost to ensure you were able to continue to feed the nation - we chartered planes and buses, worked with embassies and visa offices, supported our overseas agents and worked closely with the NFU, Defra and the Home Office to ensure farming is a priority in future decision making. And our dedication to you continues into 2021. We will work with you all to ensure you have the resources, skills and training you need.

As a charity, our commitment to excellence in ethical placements and support for workers continues to drive our way of working – with best-practice initiatives such as our pastoral fund, emergency support and comprehensive membership package for workers and our commitment to delivering the best possible service to our network of farms. So, whether you are a long term member of our network or a new farm joining us this year, I look forward to working with you in 2021.
