Group volunteering
Taking a group to volunteer on a project can change them in all kinds of ways – self-reliance, self-esteem and co-operative skills can all be transformed by the right experience.
Groups of 6 to 12 from schools, colleges, Universities and youth groups are all welcome. Group members are usually 18+, but we will send young people aged 16+ if they are accompanied by a dedicated adult group leader.
Our partnerships across the world mean that we have strong group links with Vietnam, Kenya, Korea and partners in Europe.
Your group could find yourselves…
- on an environmental project
- working with children
- helping to run a festival
- on a construction project
Supporting you from start to finish
Concordia will liaise with their partner overseas, sort out all the logistics around the project including any health and safety documentation needed. They can also help with travel bookings, insurance and recommended kit, vaccinations and visas. Concordia will give the group a pre-departure training day, to make sure everyone is equipped and prepared for their voluntary work.
How can you apply?
All Concordia’s group projects will be individually organized so costs will vary, but as a rule of thumb around £1000 per person should be budgeted for fundraising purposes. If you are interested in taking a group on a project overseas please email Fiona Callender or call 01273 425513. We recommend that you need at least a 6 month build up period for planning and preparation, before your project begins.
