We are taking 3 waves of young people this summer and have 4-8 weeks worth of full-time work available.
Wave 1: end of June AND/OR Wave 3: July – August – TBC

NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity open to all 16 & 17-year-olds that helps them build skills for work and life, whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new friends. During the four week programme, we ask for team leaders and team assistants to lead the group and facilitate activities to ensure a successful programme. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with an exciting programme which has tangible results for the young people involved. The role is demanding and fast-paced but highly rewarding.
We’re currently looking for Team Leaders and Team Assistants to work with young people from the West Sussex area, during the end of June, until August 2020. You need to be confident leading groups of young people, have experience of working in a residential setting, and be able to support and inspire young people through their NCS journey.
A Wave Leader will need to support the teams of Assistant Wave Leaders, Team Leaders and Team Assistants whilst on the programme. They are responsible for ensuring that the staff are delivering the programme to a high standard, facilitate the leaders and programmes development, support on incidents, safeguarding and disclosures, as well as leading feedback/review sessions and delivering some creative sessions for the young people.
An Assistant Wave Leader will need to support the teams of Team Leaders and Team Assistants whilst on the programme. They are responsible for ensuring that the staff are delivering the programme to a high standard, facilitate the leaders and programmes development, support on incidents, safeguarding and disclosures, as well as leading feedback/review sessions and delivering some creative sessions for the young people.
A Team Leader’s role is to lead, inspire and develop a team of up to 16, 16-17 year-olds through the NCS programme in West Sussex. This role is suitable for a dynamic and confident person with experience of leading groups of young people who is able to both motivate them and command their respect.
The Team Assistants will work alongside Team Leaders and International Volunteers as support. This role is suitable for a passionate individual with an interest in leading their first project with young people and who is ready to support the group and the leader in the activities.
Before starting work on NCS, all staff who work on the programme must have a returned enhanced DBS disclosure and two satisfactory references regarding their suitability to work with young people.
