Three great opportunities from East to West, what will make you back your bags and go volunteering?
Volunteering together with the « Woods Trust » movement, a peoples movement aiming to protect lands and creating an enjoyable natural space, will surly give you a great volunteer experience. The volunteers will do forest work as well as getting involved with mentally disabled children who helps out in the work.
When not cleaning out the natural space, you can enjoy hiking in the area and plan an cultural exchange party together with the locals and other volunteers.
Joining the Icelandic Forest Service, you will be spending time in the beautiful forest Hallormsstaoaskogur doing nature oriented tasks. By making new hiking paths, build stairs and helping with orientation, you will help maintain the area and improve the safety for the visitors.
Spend two weeks in Icelands largest wooded area, hike along with the trails to the oldest part of the woodland and finish on the top of Sandfell for a quite magnificent view.
The city of Afyonkarahisar is located between the sea and the inner regions on Anatolia. Here, international volunteers will help setting up wooden tables and benches in the natural park, located just outside the city.
