Legambiente is the leading environmental organisation in Italy, with 20 regional committees and more than 2000 local groups. Legambiente operates locally, nationally and internationally and all its campaigns and initiatives are supported by a Scientific Committee of over 250 scientists and experts in different disciplines.
- LUNARIA http://www.lunaria.org/
Lunaria was set up in 1992. As well as running International Volunteer Projects, Lunaria is involved in work with youth centres, provides support to immigrant workers, as well as carrying out research on anti-racism and other issues for Italian and European institutions. Lunaria projects are often of a social or cultural nature but they also organise environmental and renovation projects.

YAP Italy is the Italian branch of Youth Action for Peace (formerly the Christian Movement for Peace), an international movement which is non-governmental and non-profit making.
