Come and join us for a Picnic

Monday May 21st 6.30pm – 8pm

The Picnic Panel is Concordia’s new group. The name says all – we eat picnic food and give volunteers past present and future a chance to share views and dreams for the future of our organisation. Join us for the opportunity to meet new people, learn new things and support Concordia to develop new ventures.

Open to anyone living in the local area.

Local travel will be reimbursed and picnic food will be provided free of charge.

Currently held at the Concordia office based at 19 North Street, Portslade, BN41 1DH

During the summer months (weather dependent) we plan to meet in a local park

Meetings are held monthly on Monday evenings from 6.30 – 8pm

EVS project in Iceland

Are you aged 18-30 and living in the UK?

Would you like to volunteer on a community and art project in Iceland for 9 – 10 months?

An opportunity has arisen to volunteer for The Salvation Army helping to run the Second-Hand Shop, the Guest House and the Day Shelter. The volunteers joining this program will also participate in a cultural education at a school in Brogarnes and help organise and set up an art show to be held at Gallery Tukt summer/autumn 2012.

EVS Fully Funded Projects in Europe

Concordia have fully funded volunteering opportunities available across Europe.  A grant covers the cost of flights, food, accommodation, pocket money, training and medical insurance. These projects are part of the European Voluntary Service (EVS) scheme open to 18-30 year olds living in the UK with an UK/EU passport.

EVS Applications OPEN

Are you aged 18 – 30 years old, a UK resident with an EU passport?

If so you can volunteer abroad for 6-12 months with European Voluntary Service (EVS).

A grant funded by the European Commission covers your travel, medical insurance, accommodation, food, pocket money and training. There is no cost to you as a volunteer.

There are hundreds of projects to choose from with themes ranging from working with children, minority groups and people with special needs as well as a variety of conservation and arts/cultural and media projects.
